Mr. Rudolph Lopez,
optician, dies at 75
Mr. Rudolph Ferdinand Lopez, op-
tician and sportsman, died yesterday
afternoon at his residence, 11 Emer-
ald Road, off South Camp Road. He
was in his 75th year.
Mr. Lopez had been ill for about
four months.
Born in Kingston on May 20, 1878,
Mr. Lopez was a son of the late Ed-
ward Lopez, businessman. He re-
ceived his education at Collegiate
School, Kingston, and trained for his
profession at the Arthur Frene Col-
lege and Manhattan School of Optics
in America. He was also engaged in
commerce from 1897 to 1900.
A member of the Roman Catholic
Church, Mr Lopez will be buried this
afternoon at Calvary cemetery, Lynd-
hurst Road, following a service in
the Holy Trinity Cathedral, North
Street, at 4.30 o'clock.
A daughter, Mrs. Olive Mclntosh,
and other relatives survive him.
